About Me

I have always been interested in informing, inspiring and motivating my community from a young age. I wrote my first article for my local newspaper when I was only 16. As I have been a reporter for LSU’s news station, Tiger TV, for 3 years, I have been given the opportunity to inform and inspire others by bringing my stories to life visually through broadcast journalism. This opportunity allowed me to shine light on unique stories, investigate issues and current events that impact my community.

My dedication and growth as a reporter for Tiger TV and a student for Manship School of Mass Communication gave me the skills and foundation to be selected for my dream internship as a summer intern for NBC's Today Show. With this experience and recognition for several journalism awards, I was chosen to be a News Apprentice / MMJ for WBRZ. As a reporter, I always consider it my duty to report on overlooked stories in the community. One of my favorite stories I covered was “How the temporary shuttering of Louisiana’s prized casino industry is affecting local economies.” I worked on this story when the pandemic first hit and when no one seemed to be paying much attention to a major economic booster in the state.  I researched reports and analyzed the significant effect the closure had on the community. News stations and papers posted my story throughout Louisiana. I hope my stories will continue to impact my community, state and, one day, the nation.
